Dreamed, Developed and Launched!
Developing this product, and the Fuel the Femme brand has been a dream of mine for so long. After months of focussed research and formulation together with a qualified food scientist, it's finally a reality!
Initially I was going to call it PCOvite, but the compounds and constituents in this product extend far beyond PCOS treatment, which is why it's now called HORMONE SYNERGY.

About the Brand
Fuel the Femme is the supplement brand I've created for the range of supplements that will eventually join Hormone Synergy on the shelves.
The range will include supplements for what women need most - based on my own experience, in practice, with my patients, supported by meticulous research.
We're all pretty tired of having to buy multiple bottles of pills and powders per month. Fuel the Femme is here to bring you supplements in the correct dosages, correct potencies, optimal chemical forms, and in a physical form that is well tolerated by our bodies.

-
Who is this ideal for?Hormone Synergy is perfectly suited to: • perimenopause • menopause • hashimotos thyroiditis • autoimmune disorders • teens • PCOS
-
What are the ingredients?
-
What does it taste like?Super yummy berry vibes that you can mix with water, sparkling water, or in a smoothie.
-
Is it safe for diabetic patients?I suggest that patients initially test their blood glucose more frequently. This is because inositols and chromium increase cell sensitivity to insulin which may cause blood glucose levels to lower slightly.
-
Can this help with weight loss if I have PCOS?This product's main intent is hormone balance, especially as not everyone necessarily want's to lose weight, but rather feel their best. I am working on formulating a separate supplement for PCOS weight loss (ETA 2026). Just remember, supplements do just that: they supplement our choices! So make good ones :)
-
Can it be used whilst on oral contraceptive?Yes, it is safe to use in conjunction with oral contraception. Be sure to check with your GP though, in case there are any contraindications to any ingredients.
-
Should I use other supplements (such as Berberine & NAC) with Hormone Synergy for PCOS insulin resistance?Hormone Synergy already contains NAC in the correct dosage, yay! As for Berberine, the jury is still out on its efficacy.
-
Is it safe for patients with heart disease? The Magnesium Biglycinate as well as the anti-inflammatory/anti-free-radical effect of NAC is beneficial for patients with heart disease. Additionally, the other compounds such as inositol can reduce cholesterol levels.
-
Does it contain CoQ10?I've substituted CoQ10 for5 NAC instead. Based on research, the evidence for NAC is more robust - but having either in a supplement is a good start, as both have antioxidant effects. NAC benefits (systematic review and meta analysis Liu et. al): • reduced BMI and body weight • reduced fasting insulin • reduced total cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides
-
Can it replace HRT after a hysterectomy?Unfortunately Hormone Synergy cannot be substituted for Hormone Replacement Therapy. However it can help with giving your body vitamins, better glucose control, reduced cholesterol, improved energy levels, better sleep, less muscle pain, and optimised gut health. But we can't replace hormones. I recommend highlighting the symptoms you may be struggling with post-hysterectomy and discussing them with your doctor. Discuss supplementing or altering your dose of HRT.
-
Is this product safe for use during pregnancy? While inositol and chromium can be beneficial for insulin regulation, they may lower blood sugar levels, which could pose a risk during pregnancy. Additionally, NAC has not been well-studied for use in pregnancy, so it’s best to avoid it. If you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, always check with your doctor before taking any new supplements.
-
How much per tub?We will be launching the first batch at a discounted rate of R750 per tub, and following batches will sell at the full price of R800 per tub.
-
How long will a tub last? Each tub contains 30 servings, and you only need 1 serving per day - so a tub should last you 1 month.
-
Which supplements can I replace?A tub of Hormone Synergy is designed to replace a combination of supplements, usually all sold separately: • Inositol + Multivitamin (+/- R600) • NAC (+/- R300) • Probiotic (+/- R300)
-
Can I purchase a monthly subscription at a discount?Yes! Monthly subscriptions will be available from the end of March 2025. Discount rates for 6- vs 12-month subscriptions to be confirmed. I recommend purchasing your first tub individually, to test how the supplement works for you, and then opting for a monthly subscription.
